The 2027 Britannia Dance Championships will be held from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 February 2027 at the Hilton at the Utilita Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH, United Kingdom.All competition sessions and Friday and Saturday evening celebrations take place within the Hilton, allowing guests to compete, dine and stay together.Our optional Grand and Ultimate Experiences begin on Tuesday 9 February, combining the competition weekend with hotel accommodation, hosted excursions and dining outings.

The competition is divided into five sessions across the weekend:Session 1 • Friday 12 February • DaytimeProAm International Latin, American Smooth and Argentine Tango. Single Dance, Multi Dance, Rising Star and Scholarship events, including the Smooth section of the 9 Dance Scholarship and Latin section of the 10 Dance Scholarship.Session 2 • Friday 12 February • EveningSchool Disco themed dinner party, VIP ProAm shows and World ProAm Dance Cup® Grand Finals in International Latin, American Smooth and Argentine Tango. Professional Ballroom and Latin Championships.Session 3 • Saturday 13 February • DaytimeProAm International Ballroom, American Rhythm and Caribbean Mix. Single Dance, Multi Dance, Rising Star and Scholarship events, including the Rhythm section of the 9 Dance Scholarship and Ballroom section of the 10 Dance Scholarship.Session 4 • Saturday 13 February • EveningValentine’s black tie Gala Dinner, VIP ProAm shows and World ProAm Dance Cup® Grand Finals in International Ballroom, American Rhythm and Caribbean Mix. Amateur All Stars Invitation Competition and world class cabaret.Session 5 • Sunday 14 February • All DayOpen Couples competitions for all ages, Open Supporting Events, Children’s Teacher–Student events, Solo competitions and BDSA Sovereign League events.A detailed timetable will be released closer to the event once entries have closed.

Door opening, competition start and evening arrival times will be confirmed in the official timetable and heat list once entries have closed. Friday and Saturday each have a daytime competition session and a separate evening programme. The ballroom will be cleared between sessions. A £30 daytime-only spectator ticket does not include evening admission. Sunday’s competitions take place throughout the day. Dinner arrival and service times will be confirmed before the event. Competitors must be present in the ballroom at least 30 minutes before their first scheduled event. Please check the final timetable carefully when planning your arrival.

We offer admission packages for the competition weekend and two residential experiences for guests wishing to enjoy a longer stay. Competition Admission Packages Friday and Saturday admission includes the daytime competitions, evening entertainment, and daytime tea, coffee and snacks. Choose one day or both days, with optional upgrades to include Friday’s School Disco Dinner and Saturday’s Gala Dinner. Lunch is available to purchase separately. The Grand Experience • 9 to 14 February Five nights in a standard guest room at the Hilton with breakfast, Tuesday welcome drinks and dinner, two hosted excursion days with lunches, dinner outings and local outing transport, plus Friday and Saturday daytime and evening admission. Also included are Friday and Saturday lunches, daytime refreshments and snacks, both evening dinners with reserved dining seats, Saturday’s welcome drink and a souvenir programme. Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost. The Ultimate Experience • 9 to 14 February Everything in the Grand Experience, plus a Deluxe room with a pitch view balcony, shared VIP return Heathrow airport transfers coordinated around agreed flights, a welcome gift and personal arrival coordination, priority dining seating on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday spectator admission. Flights and competition entry fees are not included. Excursion arrangements and room availability are subject to confirmation. These guests do not need to make a separate reservation through the public hotel booking link.

The Hilton at the Utilita Bowl is situated next to the Hampshire Cricket Ground, just outside Southampton, with easy access from the M27 (Junction 7). It is also adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express Southampton, which offers convenient alternative accommodation at a lower rate.

Accommodation is available at the Hilton at the Utilita Bowl, with the nearby Holiday Inn Express offering an alternative within the Utilita Bowl grounds. Guests can also consider hotels in Southampton and Hedge End. Independent guests should use the hotel booking link on our Packages page and select their required stay dates. Book early, subject to availability. James and Kelly manage hotel bookings for Grand and Ultimate Experience guests as part of their package. Those guests do not need to make a separate hotel reservation through the public booking link.
