Safeguarding & Photography

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

The safety and well-being of all participants — especially children and vulnerable individuals — is of the highest priority at the Britannia Dance Championships.
To reflect this, we have introduced a Media Opt-Out option for the 2026 event to give parents, guardians, and adult competitors control over how their image is used.

We encourage respectful behaviour from all attendees, especially regarding filming and photography.

Photography, Filming & Media Opt-Out

The Britannia Dance Championships will be professionally filmed and photographed by our official media team. This content may be used for:

  • Social media

  • Promotional materials

  • Archive videos

  • Future event marketing

All media content is the property of Dizzyfeet Dancing Ltd.

Spectators may photograph or film their own children or students, but we ask that no unauthorised filming or photography of other dancers takes place without consent.

Don’t Want to Appear in Official Media?

We understand that not everyone wishes to be included in photos or video. You can now submit a Media Opt-Out Request by completing the form below.

This form is designed to help us:

  • Identify dancers clearly

  • Alert our photography and videography teams

  • Limit exposure in close-up, promotional, or solo content

While we will take every reasonable step to honour opt-out requests, we cannot guarantee full exclusion from wide-angle or group shots.

If appearance details change on the day (e.g. outfit or hairstyle), the form can be updated in person at the registration desk.
